Throughout my career, I have embraced the unique benefits that design brings to users, particularly regarding the ability to enhance the overall experience by implementing best practices and following a ‘user first’ approach. In addition, I offer the following qualifications:
- The reputation for confidently leading multi-departmental teams with a collaborative mind-set.
- A diverse range of visual design, typography, and interaction design related skills.
- The ability to rapidly adapt to new environments, which was honed while I lent my art direction and design skills to a wide array of clients and organizations.
- Significant success in directing concepts through to completion, earning multiple awards and accolades.
- A history of designing for highly recognizable brands.
I am a life-long learner, and understand the importance of education. I have earned a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Daemen College, respectfully, a M.F.A. in Computer Graphics Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Post-Masters Certificate in User Experience Design from Cornell University. Additionally, I earned certifications in User Experience Design from The Interaction Design Foundation, Blockchain Fundamentals from University of California, Berkeley, and Online Marketing from Market Motive.
During my study at Rochester Institute of Technology, I explored multi-sensory design. Particularly the integration of sight, sound and scent. My thesis was entitled ”Perception of Poverty: Promoting Social Responsibility through multi-sensory Integration.” The objective of ”Perception of Poverty” was to raise awareness of poverty in the United States, explore the effects of the great recession and enable observers to digitally experience homelessness through multi-sensory design. I was honored to collaborate with Scent Sculptor & Designer Christophe Laudamiel and Scent Emission Developer & Technologist Yvan Régeard.
While obtaining my M.F.A. in Computer Graphics Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, I served as Assistant Editor for ”Multi: Journal of Plurality and Diversity in Design.” I also had the pleasure of teaching Design Survey and History of Graphic Design as a graduate teaching assistant under the guidance of Dr. Alex Bitterman, Joyce Hertzson, and R. Roger Remington.
I have been fortunate to be published in several national and international publications, including American Advertising Federation, HOW Magazine, Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF), Logo Lounge Volume 1/2/3, Marketing Trendz Magazine, Multi: Journal of Plurality & Diversity in Design, RIT ScholarWorks, Scent Marketing Institute, The Buffalo News, and UX Mastery. Most notably, though, have been my collection of 32 ADDY® awards.

I have a strong passion for social design, a dedication to help, and the privilege to provide my talents and expertise.

I’ve previously served as a member of the Adobe Customer Advisory Board (CAB), which was established to develop methods for validating corporate strategies, gathering input for product development, and deepening relationships with customers. As an Adobe Customer Advisory Board Member, I was responsible for providing valuable user insight through usability surveys, virtual meetings, and in-person conference events.
